Face Detectors

Intelligent Earth are currently marketing several different face detector software libraries.

FD1 Fast Detector

The FD1 package is a very fast face detector that can be used for tracking faces in real time in PAL or NTSC at 60 or more frames per second.

FD1 can be used for person-to-person video conferencing on PC and has been ported to Symbian 60 and the Nokia N series of smartphones.

FD2 Multiface In-depth Face Detector

The FD2 package is a more comprehensive and accurate detector and can locate any faces in an image very accurately. FD2 will also locate any number of faces in an image. For example, all the faces in a crowd scene can be located. The performance in, for example, a faces-in-a-crowd-to-witness album type application is only limited by processor speed/bandwidth considerations.

FD1 - SP Side Profile Detector

The FD1 - SP multiface in-depth side profile face detector has been developed in response to a demand from the video conferencing market.

The FD1 - SP detector is also being pressed into service in security applications for multibiometric tracking in CCTV.
